Patriotic Berry Crisp

Recipe from our very own Cheri's Kitchen -- I tell ya, the girl is amazing!

Ingredients

3-4 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
Handful of blueberries (frozen or fresh)
Handful of raspberries (frozen or fresh)
1 C brown sugar
1/2 + 1 Tbs flour
7 Tbs butter, softened
1/2 C oats
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions

1. In a large mixing bowl, mix 1/2 C brown sugar and 1 Tbs flour. Cut in 2 Tbs softened butter and mix until well integrated.

2. Add fruit to the bowl and toss until well covered. Pour the fruit mixture into a 8x8 dish or pie plate.

3. Next mix 1/2 C brown sugar, 1/2 C flour, the oats, salt, and cinnamon in a medium mixing bowl. Cut in 4-5 Tbs softened butter and mix until soft and crumbly. If needed, microwave for 5-10 seconds so it is well moistened. Crumble the streussel over the fruit.

4. Bake at 350 for 1 hour, and serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
