Online Computer Backup: Carbonite

I have been married for almost 8 years. In those 8 years, we have had 4 computer crashes. Four complete computer meltdowns. Where we've lost everything. The first time it happened, I had just returned from a study abroad in New Zealand and lost ALL my digital pictures. Carbonite also offers external backup, but we haven't tried that. Mainly because I know my user error record. I know I would forget to backup and therefore I would be out of luck. Plus, if your house burns down or floods, there goes the external backup.
