It's true. We've all been there.

Real Moms decide last minute to make cookies to take to someone or to surprise their kids when they get home only to realize half-way through the recipe that they are out of eggs.

Hooray for good neighbors that can help you in a pinch, but when that fails, a Real Mom will now be equipped in what to use as a substitute:
Substitute for 1 egg
2 Tbs flour
2 Tbs water
1/2 Tbs oil
1/2 tsp baking powder
Put this in your dough in place of the egg, and continue on in your awesomeness. Works like a charm in almost all recipes (except of course omlettes, scrambled eggs, etc. You catch my drift).
Now speaking of making cookies, I've got to go get mine out of the oven. Yes, egg-free.

Really Big Snowflake
My mom suggested these while I was heading up an art class last year. They are so easy 4 year olds can do them. The children LOVED this, and were so proud of how beautiful they turned out. To be honest, it is difficult to not have it look beautiful!

Chocolate "Ginger" Bread House
My kids like the Gingerbread House tradition at Christmas time, but, along with my husband, most of them don't really like the taste of gingerbread. This puts a damper on the project, since we traditionally destroy and eat the house on New Year's Eve. So...
About Kerri
Ahh…see that smile on my face? That’s a genuine smile. I love my family. I love the 4th of July. I love the beach. I love ice-cream. And the day this picture was taken, I was getting the combination of it all. Ahhh…that’s a real smile!
No way, no way, no way. This is even better than applesauce, since if I don’t have eggs, the chances of me having anything like applesauce is nonexistent. You guys never cease to amaze me!
Funny. I just ran out of eggs while making waffles the other day. I found this great site that gave tons of great egg ideas. We used the applesauce replacement and LOVED the waffles. I never knew there were so many ways to replace eggs! http://tipnut.com/egg-substitutes/
We make almost all our cookie dough like this. It turns out great and no worries about eating the dough either!
